First of all welcome to all the new players that turned up last Sunday – Will Mitchell + Andrew, Gabriel Smith + David, plus numerous others - I trust you’ll settle into the club and our age group quickly we’ll do our best to make you feel welcome – don’t worry about match shirts these are supplied by the club and our sponsors. Shorts & socks are available from Jugsy (Justin) who can normally be found in a corner of the car park next to the club or email jg@hhrfc.co.uk

Lots of information to impart starting with the ***Scrum Clinic for all forwards this evening 6pm – 7pm*** at the club hosted by Adam Hopcroft 1st XV prop/coach and sports master at Hurst. Please make every effort to attend this session it’s a game changing opportunity! Simon will also be available to run a session with the backs.

1. The team sheet and instructions for the A team away to East Grinstead are attached. Everyone else please report to HHRFC where we have East Grinstead B visiting for a friendly – report 9:45 for 10am warm up KO 10:30 **NB The mini’s have Tunbridge Wells & Crawley visiting plus the U15’s have a league fixture at home – therefore the parking will be problematic (please consider car sharing wherever possible)
2. I handed out RFU raffle tickets prior to Christmas £5 per book the club receives £4:50 – thank you to those who have returned the stubs and money, I have to return the unsold ones and monies by the end of the month so please dig them out of the draw and return.
3. Next weekend 29th Jan we have Battersea Ironsides visiting – very strong junior/mini section in Surrey 1 and 3, due to a number of factors junior league games x2 & U14 we have elected to delay the KO until 12 noon and warm up from 11am – subject to confirmation! If this presents a problem with anyone please let me know ASAP.
4. The following week 5th Feb is H Cup weekend for the mini’s so I’ve booked the 3G pitch at Oathall school (Haywards Heath) from 10 – noon for the U13 & 15’s
5. Last call on the Leicester tour March 3rd/4th see attached email - £70 per head to Lee R-P or James K ASAP Sunday at the latest – cash or cheques made payable to Lee Reeves Perrin (c/o the Cayman Islands!)
6. Availability for the rest of the season – most people have completed/advised me could I please ask the following to action; Efe, Max Barnes, Fraser Bartlet, Malachi, Max Gunter, George Jeffery, Miles Hurley, Joe Seaton, James Syms, Nick/Alex Walker and Zac White – plus the newcomers Cameron, Will Mitchell, Seb Paterson & Gabriel. If your ½ term plans have changed please let me know as we have games booked for both weekends.
