Over 630 local children, plus parents, grandparents, friends, supporters and rugby enthusiasts gathered at Whitemans Green on Sunday for an end of season fun day with awards presented to players in each age group from age U6 to U16.
This was a fun, inclusive, community event with a record number of young members joining the activities and the afternoon BBQ – no one let the wet weather spoil a great day for all age groups with numerous activities including a tug of war and skipping. The sun even emerged to make it a great day for all! All funds raised are going towards the HHRFC Clubhouse Fund as plans continue to move forward with the help of clubwide sponsor Focus Group to make sure the new build can start as soon as possible.
There is a special HHRFC Girls Rugby Camp taking place at the Whitemans Green on Wednesday 17th August from 10am to 3pm for all girls age 10+ (no experience necessary). Two very special guest coaches – Danni and Erin Payten who both play for England Touch – are joining the existing Heath girls coaching team to show all the girls how much fun rugby can be.
