Young squad go unbeaten

Heath U11s sent a squad to the Worthing Festival last weekend where, in trying conditions, they put in a strong and classy performance - in the five games played Heath won them all and did not concede a single try. An excellent team performance that was celebrated by the coaching team who can see real progress in this young and developing squad this season.

Heath played Midhurst and Crowborough in their first two games and ran out narrow winners in both. With their confidence levels high, Heath edged the third game against Pulborough 10-0 and from there onwards they opened the floodgates with some great running rugby and their trademark resolute defence which saw them beat county rivals Horsham and Bognor comfortably.

The coaches were delighted with the commitment of the entire squad and believe this performance sets them up for an exciting last third of the season. Heath U11s Head Coach, Tom Grover, commented “The hard work and unity of the whole squad is paying off and the dedication shown by the players, turning up week in week out whatever the weather, came to fruition today”.

Heath U11s train on a Sunday morning between 9.30am and 11am with a squad of just over 50 players and more are always welcome to join at any time - contact rugby@hhrfc.co.uk for more information.
