On Sunday three Heath youth squads emerged winners at the Worthing 10s festival, showing the strength and depth of rugby talent and coaching at HHRFC. The U12s, U13s and U14s squads all won their respective age groups on a great day for the Club.
The U14s capped a tremendous day by taking the title playing some scintillating rugby, winning all of their matches and conceding only one try all day.
The U13s played tough opposition in Aylesbury RFC in their opening game and grew in confidence throughout the group stage. In the final, against the hosts, Worthing RFC, Heath ran out convincing winners, scoring nine unanswered tries.
The U12s saved their best performance for the final, where they beat a well drilled Beckenham team by three tries to one. Their tackling was ferocious and their rucking, intense. The win follows a number of weeks of excellent work from the entire squad and the players are all now looking forward to the remaining weeks of the season.
