Use the car parks first and make sure you occupy only one space.
When the car parks are full and there is absolutely no choice other than to park along the road, do so either entirely on the road or entirely on the verge.
DO NOT PARK WHOLLY OR PARTIALLY ON THE PAVEMENT. It is both an offence and an irritation to our neighbours. If you do so you will be causing an obstruction to pedestrians, mainly our long-suffering neighbours, and particularly those with pushchairs or wheelchairs. If you obstruct the pavement you may well return to find a parking ticket on your windscreen.
