
to the players which they then wear with pride after games. It's an event that the boys look forward to as it signifies a new stage in their rugby careers.
This year's presentation was made at the pre match lunch before our 1st XV game against Brighton when 30 boys were joined by 38 parents and other guests from the Club and from our opponents to celebrate the transition. 1st XV captain, Chris Turner, was there to make the presentation, supported by Director of Rugby, Steve Heaton and Lead Coach, Jodie Levett.
Former Heath Chairman, Alan Jenkins, urged the boys to reach for the rugby stars - represented by the many international shirts displayed on the clubhouse walls, all worn with pride by former Heath players - most recently England internationals Joe Marler and Billy Twelvetrees (also a British Lion) and last season's England Under 18 captain James Chisholm. Most importantly, he encouraged the boys to stay in the game, at any level, preferably with Heath.
