Pete was the former Deputy Head at Warden Park and a dedicated rugby man who was a constant presence at the Club when his three boys - Ross, Ali and James - played through the minis and juniors and again when his eldest son Ross was Head Coach of the 1st XV from 2018-2021.

Pete was a true supporter of those less fortunate to himself, establishing Fairfax Building Young Futures following his retirement from teaching and tirelessly working to find ways to help young people thrive through sport or other activities, particularly those who found traditional school structures challenging.

Pete impacted the lives of many youth players at the Club over multiple decades who he had encouraged to rugby at Warden Park or HHRFC through his love of the sport and his frequent support on the touch line at Whitemans Green. Many parents also benefitted from his guidance and his obvious infectious enthusiasm for all sports.

The Club sends its heartfelt condolences to Pete’s family and friends in particular Sue, Ross, Ali and James and his young grandchildren at this difficult time.
