Under 15s bring home the silverware from tour to Havant

Tracey Spuyman8 May - 08:29

A winning weekend for the U15s squad

Haywards Heath U15s emerged unbeaten to win their tour to Havant over the May bank holiday weekend. The boys beat teams from Brentwood, Epping, Milton Keynes, Orpington and St Albans, scoring an incredible 31 tries in nine matches over two days, while conceding just 10.

The coaches were delighted to see the team pull together and execute the best of their attacking tactics and defensive skills to take an emphatic victory at a sunny Havant RFC. The win capped a challenging season for Heath U15s with a much-deserved winning feeling and allowed some late-season additions to the squad to be fully integrated with longer-serving players, some of whom have been at Heath since playing U6s tag rugby.

The icing on the cake was being presented with the winners’ trophy by former England and Harlequins captain, Chris Robshaw. The boys will celebrate their win at the annual club awards day on Sunday 17 May at Heath’s home - the HHRFC Clubhouse at the Whitemans Green Sports Club. New young players welcome at any time for more information contact youth@hhrfc.co.uk.
