A great day was had by all at Hastings, helped in no small measure by the great weather.

Unfortunately a couple of teams pulled out leaving gaps in the schedule, which meant HH had some tough opposition, Heathfield, Lewes A's and Eastbourne A's.
The scores were as follows:
HH v Lewes 2/1
HH v Eastbourne 1/1
HH v Heathfield 1/0
With this we won the Pool and went onto the Semi-Finals against Hove
HH v Hove 3/1

The scores however do not reflect the tenacity with which all the boys attacked the line, keeping the ball alive, and rucking furiously.
In the game against Eastbourne, HH were parked on their try line for nearly 5 minutes trying to smash their way through with no less than 6 tries consecutively prevented by Eastbourne keeping the ball off the ground, until eventually Myles Hurley grabbed the ball off an Eastbourne player and scored the elusive try.
After playing 2 games on the trot in the heat of the day, the boys went straight into the semi-finals against a well rested and strong Hove side, who although weak defensively were very strong in possession, breaking through our exhausted lads to score 3 tries.
Still, our boys heads stayed up scoring a brilliant try from Seb Hazel's kick off, caught by Ollie Nixon, HH maintained possession and headed straight over the line for a try in the dieing minutes of the game.

At the end of the day everyone, including the parents, was exhausted but proud of what the boys had achieved, a strong team is in the making.

Thanks again to the parents for their support, I'm sure you'll agree the boys truly earned their applause.
